A few months ago, my wife shopped for a purse and bought this coach bag on ebay. It arrived and wasn't what she expected from the photos. She labored over selling it and finally decided that it had to go. One of the details that wasn't evident in the original photos was the mix of gray and light tan stitching. It all looked more of a medium tan -- so I took a few minutes and set a shot up that would clearly show the bag more accurately.
This was shot with two 400 w/s strobes. One directly overhead in a softbox aiming slightly towards the camera, just enough to keep it just out of frame on my 60MM nikkor macro lens. A second strobe below camera to the left firing through a Beauty Dish. This created the soft product lighting I wanted and left some shadow definition under the edges of the bag, dust cover and paper.
