If you have looked at this Lamborghini Gallardo image, you may have wondered how it was created -- well, here's the answer.
Obviously, the camera was mounted to the door, just below the driver's mirror. I used Nikon Capture software and fired the camera from my laptop. This is my favorite way to shoot this type of image. If the cable would get in my shot or I can't ride along, I can't use the laptop - so I use my modified wireless remote with my radio triggers, which will be another chapter.
So, with the camera mounted below the driver's mirror and my USB cable running through the cockpit to my seat on the passenger's side, I had total control of the camera exposure settings.
Notice how the lines in the background complement the angular Gallardo body stying? yeah, me too. Here's a diagram of how the image was shot:
